Understanding Year Ends Points   This page will help you to understand how points are figured out for the Club’s Year-End Standings. First you need to understand that the points are made based on cows penned & not money $$ won.  It is a consistency system base on the average (avg). Points are awarded on avg points + no# of cows penned + any fast times (FT) awarded,   Average points: Are figured by the total of teams in each class. Example: 38 teams in the class, we start with 38 points. So the winning team will get 38 points + no# of cows penned + any fast time. The 2nd winning team would get avg 37 pts, 3rd place team would get 36 and we continue to count down until the last team in the average. If you don’t pen in the avg, you only get the no# of cows penned + any FT points.   Fast time Points:  We take the total teams & round up after 5. Example: 38 = 4pts for 1st,        3 pts for the 2nd fastest & so on.  53 teams = 5 pts for 1st, 4 pts for 2nd fastest & so on.   We repeat the points on the 2nd go.
