1. The Ratings committee will consists of only 5 voting members, which will be 3 Open rated, 1 Amateur and 1 Novice rated riders.  In addition,              there will be 1 alternate Open rated rider that will vote only in the absence of one of the 3 Open riders.

2. The ratings committee (made up of volunteers) will be selected by the newly appointed board from the October general membership meeting.

3. Each member will not served more than a 2 year term.

4. At anytime during the ratings process (i.e. voting, discussing rider’s future ratings) all 5 voting members must be present.

5. No rating committee member can discuss to any member their future (or possible) rating, until after they have been officially rated from the              committee after the ratings process is completed after the October penning, and they will be officially notified by the Awards Banquet.

6. Any  committee member can be drop from the by the board, and replace by another equivalent rated rider at any time prior to their 2 year                    term, as a result of personal conduct that is considered detrimental to the ratings committee process and/or the club’s bylaws, rules and goals.

7. After a member has been rated the previous year, the new ratings committee has until the next two pennings to rerate the member as deem           necessary, unless they received from the member a ratings appeal.  

- On a ratings appeal, the committee can elect to vote on the appeal at that time the appeal was received, or wait until after the next two pennings.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       - If the member is moved to another division as a result of being rerated,  they will  bring 75% of their year-end points with them to their new                  division.

8. If  a new member self-rates themselves below a division that is below the division  that the ratings committees determines that the                               member’s rating is, will be moved to their division with 75% of their points.

9. Any member that was previously rated and has returned after a period of  absence, will compete with their previously assigned rating for                              at least their next two (2) pennings, at which at that time they will be reevaluated  by the committee.
